Risoluto, non troppo vivo - Melodia, Adagio - Presto JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH Partita no. 2 for Solo Violin, BWV 1004 - Allemande - Corrente - Sarabanda - Ciaccona - - - Jessica Tong is lauded for her "lyrical intensity" (Baltimore Sun) and her "performances to remember" (Woodstock Times), and has garnered international acclaim as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. A recipient of a Canada Council Grant for Musicians and a DAAD scholar, she has been a top prizewinner at the Eckhardt-Gramatte, Toronto Symphony, Canadian Music, and Yellow Springs International Competitions, as well as the recipient of the David Ouchterlony Award for Outstanding Artist. A devoted chamber musician, Ms. Tong has served as first violinist of the Vinca and Larchmere Quartets, collaborating with artists such as Leon Fleisher, Pamela Frank, Atar Arad and members of the Cleveland, Concord, Brentano and Borromeo Quartets. She has appeared internationally in venues including Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Center, the Kennedy Center, Roy Thompson Hall, les Invalides and the Gewandhaus. Previously the concertmaster of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and Artist-in-Residence at the University of Evansville in Indiana, she is currently the Chamber Music Director of the Composers Conference at Brandeis University, Artistic Director of Music Beyond the Chamber, and the newly appointed Assistant Professor of Violin at the State University of New York in Fredonia. A pupil of Pamela Frank, Ms. Tong has also studied with Kathleen Winkler, Donald Weilerstein and Zhang yun Zhang. She has been mentored as a chamber musician by members of the Alban Berg, Vogler, Cleveland and Brentano Quartets. Johan Halvorsen - Passacaglia in G minor on a Theme by George Frideric Handel (from Harpsichord Suite in G minor, HWV 432) by Roshko Brothers Roshko Brothers Adam Roszkowski - violin Jan Roszkowski - violoncello Adam Roszkowski, polish violinist living in Belgium (Strombeek - Bever). He made his solo debut with Białystok Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 18. Graduated with honors from Royal Conservatory of Brussels where he received two scholarships from the government of Belgium. In 2017 he recorded a CD for the NAXOS record label – two trios of Karol Lipiński with Voytek Proniewicz and his brother Jan Roszkowski. The record was nominated to International Classic Music Awards (ICMA 2019). Adam collaborates with Belgian National Orchestra, Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra for Night of the Proms 2018 production and Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London for Sutra production (choreography by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, music by Szymon Brzóska). He was a concertmaster at the Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestra (2013). Classically trained but also participates in various projects including improvised, electronic, experimental, world, theater and film music. In 2013 and 2014 with A Gambler’s Hand Project he has performed over 50 concerts in 10 European countries, in major festivals, cinemas, theaters, jazz clubs and beyond that include EFG London Jazz Festival, Delemont Jazz Days (Switzerland), 26th Vilnius Jazz Festival, Handelsbeurs Ghent Concert Hall, Leeds Film Festival. He performs with such artists as: Seal, Susan Vega, Iwona Sobotka, Macha Kanza, Vadim Brodski, Sean Noonan, Adam Bałdych, Janusz Olejniczak and Alexis Marcello. Jan Roszkowski - polish cellist and composer. He is a laureate of the 27th National Chamber Music Competition in Wroclaw (3rd prize), Warsaw Chamber Competition for Young Musician (1st prize) and the National Cello Competition in Elblag (laureate). Thanks to the Fulbright Scholarship, Jan has completed a Master's Degree in Music Performance at Manhattan School of Music in New York, where he also studied Jazz Piano and Composition. He has presented solo and chamber performances at the Steinway Hall (New York), Jay Heritage Center (USA), Kosciuszko Foundation (New York) East Poland House (Brussels), Hotel des Invalides (Paris) and on the festivals including : International Mozartiana (Gdansk, Poland), XIV International Chopin & Friends Festival (New York), Swietojanskie Swietowanie (Gdansk, Poland), EFG London Jazz Festival, Vilnius Jazz Festival and many others. Jan collaborates with such artists as Janusz Olejniczak, Tomasz Strahl, Voytek Proniewicz, Zbigniew Namyslowski, Steven Lutvak and Iwona Sobotka. In 2009, Jan Roszkowski appeared as soloist with the Camerata Dell' Arte Orchestra playing Haydn C-Major Concerto in his hometown, Suwalki, Poland. Jan has recorded many music programs and CD's released for Polish Radio, Polish TV, Radio BIS, DUX and Kayax.
