???????????? ????????????/????????????-????????????: (http•••) ???????????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ????????????????????: (http•••) Inspired by hearing performances of Handel’s oratorios during his visits to London, Haydn composed Die Schöpfung (‘The Creation’) in 1798. Through a series of accompanied recitatives, arias, duets and choruses, the music depicts the creation of the universe and the carefree existence of Adam and Eve. Haydn drew on the full complement of his symphonic and vocal prowess which reach peaks of almost operatic intensity. With rich harmonies and sonic magnificence in abundance, Die Schöpfung represents the apex of the Viennese oratorio tradition. It’s a monumental composition with orchestrations of superlative richness in which Haydn combines the splendour of classicism with the majesty of sacred music. Large chorus, momentum, powerful and refined music accompany the listener through the various phases of the biblical Creation, from the explosion of the first light to the marvelous air of the creation of man. To quote Alexander Pereira, Superintendent of Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino “'The Creation conveys a meaning that reaches all the religions of the world equally, and that is why we decided to propose this dmarvelous masterpiece by Haydn for all our public, as a sign of unity between all; it is a very important message in this period". ‘Zubin Mehta left his signature mark in terms of sound cleanness and clarity, equilibrium in the dynamics and accompaniments, delivering an energetic yet solemn performance, perhaps one of his best conducting in Florence of the recent years.’ – Opera Click Recording place: Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Recording date: November 10th, 2020 Category: Sacred Music / Concert - Sung in German Available in DVD(37909)/ Blu.ray(57909) and CD(CDS7902.02) Conductor: Zubin Mehta Orchestra: Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Chorus Master: Lorenzo Fratini Theater: Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Video Director: Tiziano Mancini CAST Hanna-Elisabeth Müller Gabriel/Eva, soprano Maximilian Schmitt Uriel, tenor Michael Volle Raphael/Adam, baritone Veta Pilipenko mezzo-soprano ► Subscribe to Dynamic YOUTUBE Channel: (http•••) ► Follow Dynamic FACEBOOK Page: (http•••) ► Follow Dynamic on INSTAGRAM:(http•••) ► Learn more about Dynamic: (http•••)

He studied composition in Utrecht with Johan Wagenaar and with Willem and Martinus. In 1916, on the recommendation of Rhené Baton (who conducted his overture to Maeterlinck's La mort de Tintagiles at The Hague in 1916), he went to Paris, where he worked with Roussel and became close to Ravel, Casella, Delius and Florent Schmitt. He returned to settle in the Netherlands in 1920, first in Veere and moved to The Hague in 1923. For many years he was music critic for the Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant, and then from 1938 to 1955 he was librarian of the Conservatory of The Hague. Voormolen's first works (those from the years 1915--1925) show a chromatic harmonic style influenced by Debussy, Ravel and Delius, and also an early return to Baroque forms. In addition, after 1919 he drew increasingly on Dutch folksong, as in the piano suite Tableaux des Pays-Bas +••.••(...)). In the 1920s Voormolen searched for a more individual, typically Dutch style, one that was permeated with old tunes, the sound of the Dutch carillon, and that evoked the atmosphere and elegance of the Dutch Baroque. This resulted in such popular scores as the Baron Hop suites +••.••(...)), the orchestral variations De drie ruitertjes (1927), the concertos for one or two oboes (1938) and the symphonic poems Een zomerlied (1928), Arethuza (1947) and Eline (1957).
Available to buy from: (http•••) Classic film showing the suffering of a little girl in hospital separated from her mother. (Please specify long or abridged version.) If going to hospital means losing the care of the mother, the young child will fret for her no matter how kind the doctors, nurses, and play ladies. This film classic, made in 1952, drew attention to the plight of young patients at a time when visiting by parents was severely restricted. Laura, aged 2, is in hospital for 8 days to have a minor operation. She is too young to understand her mothers absence. Because her mother is not there and the nurses change frequently, she has to face the fears, frights and hurts with no familiar person to cling to. She is extremely upset by a rectal anaesthetic. Then she becomes quiet and settles. But at the end of her stay she is withdrawn from her mother, shaken in her trust. In recent years there have been great changes in children's wards, partly brought about by this film. But many young children still go to hospital without the mother, and despite the play ladies and volunteers the depth of their distress and the risks to later mental health remain an insufficiently recognised problem. This film study of typical emotional deterioration in an unaccompanied young patient, and of the subtle ways in which she shows or conceals deep feelings of distress, remains as vivid and relevant as when it was made. Available in two versions: abridged: 30 mins or full: 45 mins, at the same price. We will send the abridged version unless you specify the full 45 minute version.
