Delphin Strungk Haupt Martini Osiander 1497 1601 1730 1959
English below! (http•••) . (http•••) Normally it makes little sense to upload a piece twice, but in this case I found the comparison of two recordings made with different instruments particularly interesting. I recently recorded the chorale prelude heard here on the sample set of the transept organ of the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam, built in 1959 by Marcussen. To my ears the piece sounds very good on that organ (on the piece itself and on the composer see the accompanying video description: (http•••) ). Here is the same piece played on the sample set of the organ in the village church of Altenbruch. This instrument was given its present shape in 1730 by Johann Hinrich Klapmeyer, but it preserves pipework from all its previous iterations since 1497/98. The registration given at the end of the video indicates the dates of the various ranks used.
