The school has received recognition from the Salt Lake Community as well as national attention from NPR's "From the Top" program. HIGHWAY 89 is a LIVE music performance program that originates in the radio studios of BYU Broadcasting and is distributed nationally on Sirius XM 143 BYU Radio and locally (in Utah) on Classical 89.1 & 89.5 FM. In 2012 HIGHWAY 89 featured 595 musicians. The recording engineer is Mark Wait. The show's producer is Jackie Tateishi. This episode was recorded on April 26, 2013.
