Presto in D minor Kyoko Hashimoto, pianist The legendary pianist and a teacher, Gyögy Sebök described Kyoko Hashimoto “extraordinary musical talent” “one of the finest of her generation”. Kyoko Hashimoto was born in Tokyo and began to study the piano at the age of three. After graduating from the Toho-Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, she studied at the International Menuhin Music Academy, Indiana University and the Juilliard School. She received full scholarships from the Menuhin Academy and the Juilliard School. Among her teachers were György Sebök, Menahem Pressler, György Janzer, William Masselos, György Sandor, Felix Galimir, György Kurtág and Ferenc Rados. She has been regularly performing throughout the world, so far in more than 25 countries, including many major cities and halls such as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Lincoln Center and the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, etc. She has been invited to many important festivals including the Prague Spring Festival, the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival, the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, the Pacific Music Festival and the Saito Kinen Festival. Besides performing Solo recitals in many countries in Europe, North America and Asia, she has performed Concertos with distinguished orchestras such as the Prague Chamber philharmonic Orchestra and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed over 1000 works from pre-Baroque to pieces written very recently. She has performed on Harpsichord, Fortepiano and other Keyboard instruments in addition to modern piano. She has performed as well many duo recitals with Ruggiero Ricci(Vn), Thomas Zehetmair(Vn) and Antonio Meneses(Vc), and duo and chamber music concerts with artists such as Sandor Vegh(Vn), Mischa Maisky(Vc), Jean-Jacque Kantorow(Vn), Aaron Rosand(Vn), Ralph Kirshbaum(Vc), Steven Isserlis(Vc), András Adorján(Fl), Patrick Gallois(Fl), Maurice Bourgue(Ob), Hansjörg Schellenberger(Ob), Barry Tuckwell(Hr), Atar Arad(Va), Anthony Marwood(Vn), Nobuko Imai(Va) Sergio Azzolini(Fg), Isabelle van Keulen(Vn), Chantal Juillet(Vn), Hermann Baumann(Hr), Regis Pasquier(Vn), Matt Haimovitz(Vc) and Bruno Giuranna(Va). Ms. Hashimoto was awarded numerous prizes such as the 1st grand prize and the public prize at the Concours International de Musique Française, the top prize at the Concours Musical de France, and the special prizes at the Budapest International Music Competition and at the Spohr International Competition. She has recorded many times for TV and radio all over the world including a series of 20 works by Beethoven for Dutch radio. She has been a frequent performer for CBC (Canada) and BBC (UK) and in 2012, she was chosen as representative performance for the Schubert Impromptus together with Edwin Fischer, William Kapell and Wilhelm Backhaus for BBC “Schubert Marathon”. She has also made more than a dozen CD-recordings, including the early piano pieces (all the Preludes+4 pieces) by Messiaen, 34 piano pieces by Schumann, 24 Preludes by Scriabin combined with 24 Preludes by Shostakovich, 4 Impromptus by Schubert, 12 Preludes Book II by Debussy as well as Partita by Bach, variations by Beethoven, 16 Waltzes by Brahms, Dance Suite by Bartók and Mazurkas by Blumenfeld. She is Professor of Piano and Chair of Piano Area at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and was on the piano faculty and the chamber music faculty of the Utrecht Conservatory in Holland for 12 years. She has been invited many times as a visiting professor at the European Mozart Academy in Poland and in the Czech Republic and at the International Chamber Music Academy in the Czech Republic, as well as at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Trinity College in London, the U.K.. She served as an International Jury member for many competitions such as the Gina Bachauer International Piano Artists Competition, CMC Stepping Stone Competition, Montreal International Piano Competition and YAMAHA Benelux Competition. She has been the Artistic Director of the International Music Workshop and Festival (IMWF) in the Czech Republic, Germany and in Portugal since 2004. Gigue Tabitha Rhee (USA), Viola / Paul Coletti (USA) Viola Paul Coletti began full-time teaching as Professor of Viola and Chamber Music at age 24 at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad, Switzerland. One year later in 1985 at age 25, he was appointed Head of the Strings at the University of Washington, Seattle, making him the youngest Head of Strings in the world. He has also been an instructor at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, Guest Professor at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and Head of Chamber Music at UCLA. He is now in his 12th year of teaching at the Colburn School. Coletti has given masterclasses and residencies in North and South America, Australia, Asia, and throughout Europe. Among the locations are the Toho and Geddai Universities in Japan, the Shanghai and Beijing Conservatories, Rice, Brigham Young, Baylor, Toronto, McGill, Indiana and Columbia University, London’s Guildhall School, Berlin’s Hans Eisler Conservatory, and the Chicago Institute. His students hold teaching positions of prominence worldwide, such as at the Colburn Academy, and CSPA, Oxford University, Stony Brook University New York, San Francisco Conservatory, and Yale University. Yoav Yatskan (Israel) Viola Yoav Yatskan was born in Israel in 1995. He began studying the violin at the age of 9 and the viola at the age of 16 under Michael Gaisler in “Hassadna Conservatory” where he graduated in 2014. Later he studied with Chaim Taub and currently studies With Tali Kravitz at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance. He Participated in The Perlman Music Program residencies, The Keshet Eilon Summer Mastercourses, The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, Pinchas Zuckerman’s Young Artist Program, and the Banff Center’s string quartets residence. Yoav is a recipient of the AICF scholarships between 2007 and 2015. He was a member of the “Musethica Israel Quartet”, and participated in masterclasses With Itzhak Perlman, Hartmut Rohde, Jeffery Irvine, and Miriam Fried. Yoav did his army service as an “outstanding musician” in the IDF. Tabitha Rhee (USA) Viola Tabitha Rhee, born in Brookfield, Wisconsin in 1997, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in viola performance at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Misha Amory and Heidi Castleman, as a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship. Tabitha has attended the Music Institute of Chicago Academy as a student of Roland and Almita Vamos. She recently soloed with the Juilliard Orchestra under Maestro Oundjian as the winner of the 2019 Juilliard Concerto Competition. She is a recipient of the Jerome and Elaine Nerenberg Foundation Scholarship from the Musicians Club of Women and has soloed with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Tabitha has attended the Music@Menlo International Program and Finckel-Wu Chamber Music Program at the Aspen Music Festival where she was a New Horizons Fellow.

Johannes Brahms Scherzo, Op. Posth. Born in Naples (Italy); Ettore Causa started his studies of violin and viola at the Naples Conservatory with G. Francavilla; and after graduating with the highest marks he was selected to study at the International Menuhin Music Academy (Switzerland) where he stayed for four years. He was taught by Sir Yehudi Menuhin; Alberto Lysy and Johannes Eskar; who were to become important inspirational guides in his development. In 1996 he won a scholarship to work under the guidance of Michael Tree (Guarneri Quartet) at the Manhattan School of Music; New York. Upon completing his studies in 1998; Ettore Causa was appointed First Solo Viola of the Carl Nielsen Philharmonic in Odense (Denmark) and also became the leader of the Copenhagen Chamber Soloist.cIn 2000; he was awarded both the “P. Schidlof prize” and the “J. Barbirolli prize” for “The most beautiful sound” in the prestigious Lionel Tertis International Viola competition in England. He has since made soloist and recital appearances with leading musicians in many of the Major venues around the world; and performed as a soloist in some of the most important halls such as Victoria Hall; (Geneva); Zurich Tonhalle; Madrid National Auditorium; Barcelona Auditorium; Salle Cortot (Paris); Teatro Colon (Buenos Aires); Tokyo and Osaka Symphony Hall; MSM Auditorium (New York); and played at the major Festivals; including the Menuhin Festival (Gstaad); Festival de Estoril (Portugal); Salzburg Festival; Festival del Pontino (Italy); Tivoli Festival (Copenhagen) and Festival of Perth (Australia). Particularly devoted to chamber music; he is also regularly invited to prestigious chamber music festivals like Prussia Cove (England); Savonlinna (Finland); Lanaudiere (Canada) and the Festival Lysy (Buenos Aires); where he plays with internationally renowned colleagues such as Alberto Lysy; Patrick Demenga; Thomas Füri; Natalie Clein; Jeremy Menuhin and others. Since 2004 is member of the Aria Quartet who made its name as one of a leading ensembles on the Swiss chamber music scene; and with whom he performs regularly in Switzerland and abroad. Since 2001 Ettore Causa is professor of both Viola and Chamber Music at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland and he is regularly invited to give Master Classes not only in Switzerland; but also in Spain; Portugal; Italy and Argentina.
