Haydn sonata performed on Walter fortepiano! This is the Finale, Molto Vivace. Joseph Haydn himself owned a Walter (now in Eisenstadt Haydn-Haus museum) It is specially interesting that the lid of Haydn's personal Walter is made from the same piece of wood as the lid of Mozart's personal Walter, now in Salzburg museum. The piano, used in recording is a concert quality copy made by modern fortepiano builder Paul McNulty. Please subscribe to our YouTube cannel for more fortepiano videos! Early years in Russia were followed by a move to the United States to study early music at Oberlin Conservatory and further studies in fortepiano and harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. An active performing career across Europe – from Leipzig and Utrecht to Oslo and London – included competition prizes at the Bach Tage Berlin and the Musica Antiqua competition in Bruges.
