Beethoven Sir Yehudi Menuhin Heifetz Czerny Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra 2020
It is a true honor for me to announce Beethoven's concerto in C Major, his Triple Concerto opus 56 for Violin, Cello and Piano, played live recently in 2020 in the Klaipėda concert hall (Lithuania). With the conductor of the two chamber orchestras, Vilhelmas Čepinskis (who also made the transcription for strings + timpani), I am in contact for some years now and so, here you have the result of our exchanges! Beethoven's triple concerto as an experiment in Whole Beat Tempo reconstruction. An extensive interview/talk with the soloists is coming soon! Vilhelmas Čepinskis, violin / Motiejus Bazaras, piano / Mindaugas Bačkus, cello Klaipėda chamber orchestra (chief Mindaugas Bačkus) / Šiauliai chamber orchestra (chief Vilhelmas Čepinskis) Orchestration for strings and timpani: Vilhelmas Čepinskis. Menuhin wrote on Čepinskis: “A very talented young person. I found his playing extraordinary. He is already not only a great virtuoso, but also a violinist of very high culture. His playing evoked in me associations with the fantastic musicianship of Heifetz. Actually, it has been a long time since I have heard a young person play so movingly”. Sir Yehudi Menuhin Tempi are those of Czerny, as published in his pianoforte school opus 500 (part 4), read in Whole Beat ((http•••) 0:00 Allegro (q=126) 29:17 Largo (16th = 104) 36:06 Rondo finale alla polacca (q=104)* *the tempo in this recording is taken faster (q=132), at the end reaching q=104. We will talk about this decision in the extensive interview with the soloists of this performance. / We need YOU to continue on (full) speed! THANK YOU for even considering becoming a patreon!(http•••) / See our Beethoven's sonatas playlist here: (http•••) / One weekly mail in your mailbox? (http•••) / Website: (http•••)
