During their stay in Slovenia, Ukrainian musicians immediately got involved in diverse musical activities to keep in form and their education in the best possible way. Slovenian Youth Orchestra organised the ongoing Orchestra Academy with the help of the Ukrainian Youth Symphony Orchestra and many European professional Festivals, Orchestras, their members and other individuals, soloists, professors and Music schools who offered aid and opened the doors and hearts. Mr Gidon Kremer supported this programme and kindly responded to our invitation to share the stage. MUSIC FOR THE FUTURE: UKRAINE. SLOVENIA. EUROPE IS A SOCIAL PROJECT CHARGED WITH THE SUPERPOWER OF MUSIC During the first days of the war, Slovenian and Ukrainian Youth Orchestras established urgent collaboration in the effort to evacuate young musicians and their relatives from all over Ukraine to Slovenia. The goal was to move these people to a safe environment where they could continue general and musical education, their first mission and life goal, in the best possible context. Slovenian Youth Orchestra provided assistance in evacuation from Ukraine, first humanitarian aid, accommodation, concert activities, and help for more extended family stay.
