Aleksandr Tinyakov 1886 1903 1910 1934
Phillip Sear plays a waltz from 1903 by the obscure Russian composer Aleksandr Tinyakov. / The composer of these pieces is a mystery. IMSLP seems to identify him with the Russian poet - and latterly professional beggar - of the same name +••.••(...)), but the biographical notes I have seen on him make no mention of musical interests! The few other published pieces by him seem to date from around 1910, and, like this one, were published by Zimmermans of Leipzig (who did have branches in Moscow and St. Petersburg). / / Played by Phillip Sear (http•••) (Email: •••@••• WhatsApp: (http•••) )
Aleksandr Tinyakov Liapunov Ness 1886 1910 1934
1 - Andantino; 2 - Wiegenlied (Allegretto) / The composer of these pieces is a mystery. IMSLP seems to identify him with the Russian poet - and latterly professional beggar - of the same name +••.••(...)), but the biographical notes I have seen on him make no mention of musical interests! The few published pieces by him seem to date from around 1910, and were published by Zimmermans of Leipzig (who did have branches in Moscow and St. Petersburg). The dedicatee, Vladimir Kutkin, would seem to be a Russian. Musically they remind me of Liapunov, but with the "Russian-ness" somewhat muted. / / Played by Phillip Sear (http•••) (Email: •••@••• WhatsApp: (http•••) )
