The dramatic "Finale" to the Symphony in C minor, by Brett Vachon, brings the work to a resounding end. After an impressive, majestic introduction (Largo), the movement launches into a fast-paced Allegro before the first theme returns to introduce a satisfying conclusion in the Romantic style of Schumann. Brett is a composer from Montreal, Canada. The score for this and the other three movements can be found on MuseScore. The sound file was made using NotePerformer. Brett has alternative sound files of this symphony on his own youtube channel.

Vachon Alfred Loewenguth Roche Quatuor Loewenguth 1731 1782 1802
Pierre Vachon - Quatuor en la majeur, op. 11 no.1 I Moderato String Quartet in A Major Opus 11 No.1 1st Movement Moderato Performed by Quatuor Loewenguth Alfred Loewenguth, Jacques Gotkovsky (violins) Roger Roche (alto / viola), Pierre Basseux (violoncelle / cello) Pierre Vachon was born at Arles in 1731, and he died in Berlin in 1802: Vachon, brilliantly successful in Parisian musical circles, spent some time in England (where he was enthusiastically acclaimed) as well as in Germany, and he quite obviously absorbed a good deal of all that was new in chamber music writing of the time. His A major quartet is in two movements, individual movements are well contrasted in addition to the themes within each movement. Vachon's Op. XI was published in Paris about 1782, and until a set turned up unexpectedly in England a year or so ago, bibliographers believed these quartets to be lost. buy this CD - (http•••) Neglected Classical era string quartet from French
