Sagvik Beard Swedish Radio Choir 1992
This is a little Christmas motet for choir to remind us that we are these days NOT celebrating the arrival of the man with reindeers and a long white beard. The text from Luke 2:15-20 tells another story - that about the first guys who saw the supernova in the sky and decided to go to the nearest town - Bethlehem - to check it out. Merry Christmas to everybody everywhere! Swedish Radio Choir/Radiokören is singing conducted by Gustaf Sjökvist, at a live concert in Sofia Church of Stockholm, Sweden in 1992.
Stellan Sagvik Eichenholz Joakim Unander 1997 2002
Clushoes, a virtuoso orchestral opening piece (not my words - it was said by one of the musicians after this recording session), written for Filarmonica de Cluj and first performed by them in Transylvania in 1997 under the baton of Mika Eichenholz. This recording was made in 2002 with Swedish Radio Symphonics conducted by Joakim Unander, an amazing performance as only 45 minutes were left of the recording session when the orchestra started working on first reading of the parts of the piece - 45 minutes later this was documented on tape ;-) Great work by the conductor AND the great orchestra!!!
