Kaja Silverman, an influential thinker in art history, argues that photography is the world’s primary way of revealing itself to us. In this talk she presents her latest work on her three-volume history of photography, a reconceptualization of the defining media of our time. Silverman, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania whose books include Flesh of My Flesh and The Miracle of Analogy, gives a keynote of the Visualizing Theory Conference. Presented on May 11, 2018, by GC Public Programs and the Critical Theory Certificate Program. For more information about our events, visit: (http•••)
#avgn #cinemassacre #drama This was originally uploaded as an unlisted video on an alternate Cinemassacre channel. I have reuploaded it as a public video not only for preservation purposes but to also the get the truth out that James Rolfe has lost credibility as a YT creator. For those who don't know, one or more scripts of Cinemassacre's Monster Madness had contained content that was copied from a previous article. James has deflected blame and Justin Silverman has taken a bullet for him. Some fans state that James no longer has intensive involvement with his own creations but rather supervises other people's work such as scripts and concepts and passes it off as his own work. This seems to be the case as in this video.

"The Cruel Waters is a work for three marimba in which a turbulent environment emerges form constant overlapping and interlocking of instrumental lines. Initial ideas for the piece came from trying to create new textures for the marimbas that are both virtuosic and idiomatic, creating the sound of a "supermarimba" through combining the three identical instruments. The sound that results, form from flowing arpeggiations and chordal rolls that swell and decay, made me think of roiling waters undulating in a storm at sea. This work was commissioned by Troy University for premiere by their percussion ensemble at the 2015 Percussive Arts Society International Convention. The music is dedicated to T. Adam Blackstock and the Troy University Percussion Ensemble with gratitude and admiration, and to Brian Nozny, to whom special thanks is extended for his musical and editorial advice." - Adam Silverman Learn more and purchase the music at: (http•••) Performed by the Eastman Chamber Percussion Ensemble members: Rachel Richards, Liam McManus, and David Wang Coached by Chris Amick Producer - Emma Gierszal Videographer and Editor - Chris Amick Audio Engineer - Justin Lamb
With the ever-changing world of social media, what is “hot” can change year over year. Keeping up with trends can not only be intimidating but risky for organizations. Adam saw this and wanted to make an avenue for content creators and organizations to connect for mutual benefit. Adam started Hot Media, which has been acquired by Wondr Gaming where he now is the Head Of Media. One of the big takeaways was that while others may have looked down at TikTok Adam realized that the retention and viewership were high and at the end of the day no matter what platform attention is worth money. In this episode, we speak about how Adam was able to find an opportunity in a new platform, grow a business from the ground up, and how he was able to bring value to large clients.
