An absolutely superb first Dumbleton Dazzler, with terrific racing in every class. In the 250cc Solo's, could anyone stop Mark Wadsworth from taking yet another event? The consistent Mike Appleton has been going well all season, and Jason Stott and Ian Rutter would give Wadsworth something to think about. 350cc specialist Andy Riley would want some stopping, but Peter Lloyd also riding in the 500cc class would give Riley all the trouble he could want, along with Ricky Scarboro. A young Paul Hurry is gradually working his way up the ranks, and he would need to be at his best to take the 500cc Class, as Colin Earl, Glen Cunningham, Gary Lobb, and Phil Ashcroft all look good enough to take the 500cc class. Solo's include: Colin Earl, Glen Cunningham, Gary Lloyd, Ian Dudley, John Priest, Gary Lobb, Krister Marsh, David Wright, Jonathan Simms, Paul Hurry, Mike Dowling, Trevor Eadon, Stuart Woodhall, Simon Gittings, Phil Ashcroft, Richard Webb, Chris Salisbury, Tony Atkin, Nigel Newman, Andy Riley, Wayne Broadhurst, Mike Beaumont, Ricky Scarboro, Mark Taylor, John Shanes, Gerald Short, Peter Lloyd, Tom Leadbetter, Glyn Stanton, Steve Tideswell, Mark Wadsworth, Mike Appleton, Jason Stott, Ian Rutter, Steve Dearen, Richard Lively, Carl Pugh, Mark Evans, and many more. In the 500cc Sidecars Kevin Leide/Alan Pithouse have to start the day as favourite, but with Mal & Lester Goodwin, and Brian Palmer/Craig Herbert across from Essex, Leide & Pithouse will have a fight on their hands. The RH Sidecars was very competitive, and picking the winner was definitely a pin job. With Moon, Measor, Lane, Smith, Ing, Penfold, Halsey, Matthews, and The Blewitts all in contention for top honours. RH Sidecars include: Roger Measor/Shane Lapham, Gary Moon/Steve Robbins, Ken Lane/Mark Edwards, Steve Smith/Keith Wall, Russell Ing/Paul Urycz, Alan & John Blewitt, Chris Spiers/Eddie Alvis, John Halsey/Tony Miles, Ivor Matthews/Mike Dowse, Nevill Penfold/Paul Randall, Mark Wells/John King, Chris Hall/Steve Kenchington, Len & Ray Foreman, Mick Cave/Mick Stace, Rob Wilson/Vince Jones, Craig Cheatham/Gary Lane, Ian & Rick McAuley, Andy Nourish/Mark Beaton, Pete Goodwin/Peter Burnett, Richard Jenner/Nick Walters, Kevin Stevens/Myles Simmons, and more. 500cc Sidecars include: Kevin Leide/Alan Pithouse, Malcolm & Lester Goodwin, Wayne Boys/Jason Holmes, Brian Palmer/Craig Herbert, Dave Howells/Scott Dunn, Mike Read/Andy Robertson, Gerry Squirrell/Paul Stafford, Ricky Neale/Dave Freemantle, Roger Newman/Ian Vincent, Brian Canning/Colin Lewis, and more.

3 - Balquidder 4 - The Lass O'Gowrie / The Scottish composer William (Walter) Beaton Moonie +••.••(...)) spent much of his life as a music teacher in Edinburgh. He studied music at Edinburgh University, and also in Frankfurt, where, like Cyril Scott, Balfour Gardiner and some other British composers, he studied with Iwan Knorr. He wrote three operas, a symphony, a piano concerto, orchestral, vocal, chamber and piano works. For more information on his life and work, see an article by his daughter on: (http•••) The two pieces I have chosen for this video come from a suite of six piano pieces based on Perthshire folk tunes. They were published in 1924 by Bruce Clements & Co of Edinburgh in a score with a tartan-bordered cover. / / Played by Phillip Sear (http•••) (Email: •••@••• WhatsApp: (http•••) )
