Jan Kiepura Bricht Robert Stolz 1937
Jan Kiepura, Tenor singt "Weine nicht, bricht eine schöne Frau dir das Herz" komponiert von Robert Stolz aus dem deutschen Spielfilm "Zauber der Boheme" von 1937
Pianist Marjan Kiepura presents a tutorial on Frederic Chopin’s iconic Mazurka Op. 17, No. 4 in A minor. There are three types of Mazurkas: Kuyawiak which is slower, the Mazur has a livelier tempo and the faster Oberek. This Mazurka is a supreme example of a Kuyawiak. Here, Marjan Kiepura offers a historic background and interpretive suggestions, after many years of performing this work. This amazing Mazurka has modernistic elements which was ahead of its time. Recorded at the Liederkranz Foundation in New York City.
