Çesk Zadeja - Violin Sonata (Violin + Piano Score) Violin - Klaidi Sahatçi Piano - Dhurata Lazo ————————————————————————— Cesk Zadeja was born on June 8, 1927 in Shkodra, in a civic family. He received his first lessons in his native country, in the Franciscan school, where, in addition to general education, he also received his first knowledge of music. He was a member of the choir of the Franciscan Church led by the eminent composer Martin Gjoka and later by Filip Mazreku and Prenk Jakova . From an early age, he was involved in amateur groups in his hometown. He showed his talent from an early age and as a 14-year-old student he studied at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy, with the composer Umberto Semproni . After the liberation of the country, in the years 1946 - 1947 he worked in Radio Shkodra as the head of the music department, and after two years he served in the then army until 1951. In the years 1949-1951 he performed military service as a conductor in the Artistic Ensemble of the Army. Cesk is sent to Moscow to study music at the composition department at the Petar Ilic Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow., in the class of professors and composers MICukalli, Bogatyrieff and Tchullaki. After completing his studies, he returned to Albania as a distinguished student and in the years 1957-1962 he was appointed and worked as artistic director in the State Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances of Tirana, which had just been formed, and where Çesk Zadeja held an intense activity. as creator and organizer of the already poor musical life. He is one of the founders of many musical institutions, as well as their director, such as: Conservatory (today the Academy of Arts) where he works as a lecturer for three years-1962-1965, and then is appointed as artistic director at the Opera and Ballet Theater until 1966. In the years 1966-1972 he was the head of the music department at the Higher Institute of Arts (Academy of Arts) and in 1972 he was a composer in the free profession. Again artistic director at the Opera and Ballet Theater in the years 1973-1979, and in 1979 he left the free profession, creating as such until 1990, to return in 1993-1994 lecturer at the Academy of Arts , where he gives composition and musicology. Professor Zadeja is a composer who represents in our national universe the greatest creative figure, a true national emblem, which passes into myth, because his creative potential makes this personality remarkable and doyenof Albanian contemporary music, which temporarily belongs to the first generation of our educated composers, laying the foundations of classical music, which takes on wide dimensions both in terms of treatment of musical matter and form, as well as in terms of melody, rhythm and style. As a lecturer he has given for years an extraordinary and very valuable contribution. Many composers who are carriers of musical activities in Albania today, have graduated under the direction of composer Zadeja. Today they carry out numerous activities and many programs of Albanian music schools are developed, edited and supervised by him. If we look at the list of graduates, we will notice that today the head of musical creativity consists of composers graduated from Professor Zadeja, and some of them are no longer alive. But their contribution has been great, such as, for example, Tonin Harapi, Kujtim Laro; and today create Thoma Gaqi, Agim Krajka, Limoz Dizdari, Shpëtim Kushta, Kozma Lara, Aleksandër Peçi, Sokol Shupo, Ali Spahiu, Arian Avrazi, Ferikal Daja, Vangjo Nova, Fatos Qerimaj, Ihsan Shehu and dozens of other creators who play a important role in the musical life today in Albania. ————————————————————————— I, in no way, mean to make any money via my videos. I make them to allow others to discover classical music, and help them by (sometimes) providing sheet music.
