Madame Butterfly, 2007 (Racette, Jovanovich, Cao, Powell/Runnicles). One of the greatest performances I have ever seen, of anything.

Kat'a was probably the least congenial Janacek lead for Karita Mattila, the driver for his works' airing at the Met of late, so seeing a very different sort of soprano take the part is welcome. […]
