L'opera è stata composta nel 1908 ed è stato l'ultimo concerto dell'autore prima della sua morte. È stato eseguito per la prima volta il 15 Marzo 1909 a Lipsia dal flautista Maximilian Schwedler a cui era stato dedicato il pezzo. ➤ The Flute Concerto in D major Op. 283 is a composition for solo flute and orchestra by the composer Carl Reinecke. The work was composed in 1908 and was Reinecke's last concerto before his death. It was first performed on March 15, 1909 in Leipzig by the flutist Maximilian Schwedler, to whom the piece is dedicated. / Andrea Oliva, modenese classe 1977, primo flauto solista dell'Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma dal 2003, membro e fondatore del "Quintetto di Fiati Santa Cecilia-Concertgebouw” e de "I Cameristi di Santa Cecilia". Vincitore del primo premio al Concorso internazionale di Kobe (2005) e terzo premio all’ARD di Monaco (2004). Dal 2000 al 2002 è stato accademista alla Karajan Akademie di Berlino suonando anche come primo flauto ospite dei Berliner Philharmoniker. Collabora come Guest Principal Flute alla Chamber Orchestra of Europe e NDR di Amburgo. Attualmente ricopre il ruolo di Professore di Flauto presso il Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana di Lugano (CSI) e Visiting Tutor Professor alla RNCM di Manchester oltre che essere concertista e docente invitato nei più importanti Festival del mondo. Registra per Sony, Decca, Hyperion, Brillant, Da Vinci Records e Aulicusclassics: il suo CD delle Sonate di Bach registrato con la pianista Angela Hewitt ha ricevuto il prestigioso premio iTunes Award 2013. Andrea Oliva won the first prize in the prestigious Kobe International Competition (2005) and third prize in the ARD of Munich (2004). From 2000 to 2002 he was one of the academist in the Karajan Akademie in Berlin and played as a guest with the Berliner Philharmoniker. He is the Guest Principal Flute of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and NDR of Hamburg. He is Flute Professor in the Svizzera Italiana Conservatory CSI in Lugano and Visiting Tutor Professor in the RNCM of Manchester. He also performs and teaches in the most important Festivals in the world. Portia is the beautiful heroine in Shakespeares Play & Romantic Comedy - The Merchant of Venice that was probably written between 1596 and 1598. Performed in this recording by transgendered musician - Denise Hewitt - on a Technics Digital Piano. The photo in the opening titles and closing credits was shot by Denise on the Island of Murano in the Venice Lagoon. Murano Island is most famous for its many boutique glass making studies.
