Giovanni Antonio Piani. Violin sonatas №№9, 4. G.A.P. Ensemble. Founded in 2011, the young G.A.P. Ensemble consists of superb musicians who occupy leading positions in the most important European baroque orchestras. G. A. P. - совместный проект скрипача Эмилио Перцана (Emilio Percan) с европейскими музыкантами: виолончелистом Oриолом Аймат Фусте (Oriol Aubets Fusté) и клавесинистом Лукой Куинтавалем (Luca Quintavalle). The young G.A.P. Ensemble consists out of superb musicians, players in leading positions in all of the most important European baroque orchestras. The collaboration with artists such as Viktoria Mullova, Daniel Hope, Christophe Rousset and Edita Gruberova as well as performing at some of the world’s most important venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Teatro Colon – Buenos Aires, Palau de la Musica Barcelona are just a part of the experience, that the ensemble members bring in to the work process. Shortly after the foundation in 2011 the core of the ensemble (Percan, Aymat, Quintavalle ) was due to make their debut – CD “Affettuoso” with the London based label – Onyx classics , a recording that received great recognition from the international critics shortly after it was released. Since 2013 the ensemble works very closely with the Italian Soprano Raffaella Milanesi, a very fruitful collaboration, which came to its peak in spring 2014 with the recording of the ” Dialoghi” project. The name G.A.P. is a tribute to the ensembles connection with the Italian composer Giovanni Antonio Piani, who´s sonatas op. 1 were rediscovered by Emilio Percan and brought back to the audience in a world premiere recording.
