Side A off of the album Earth Horns With Electronic Drone. "Necessary reissue of an enormous, seminal drone session conducted by Japanese Fluxus Yoshi Wada and friends. For this recording Wada assembled his self-made 20' and 10' horns at Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, New York on February 24 , 1974, with players including Rhys Chatham, Barbara Stewart, Garrett List, Liz Phillips, and Wada, himself. The spellbinding performance on four pipes revolves around a single drone attuned to the frequency of the space and its acoustic information, essentially recycling the low, bellowing sound of the pipes into a complex yet ostensibly static feedback loop of harmonic overtones and electronic oscillation. This LP version holds the entire 2 hr 42 min performance for those who really want to go out there. Each player in turn contributes to its subtly balanced stasis, immersing us in their radiant circular meditations so deeply that even the slightest fluctuations can become butterfly waves of ear-teasing harmonic intricacy. It feels a far more primal and ritualist sort of minimalism compared with say Glass or Reich, and should be considered closer to the transcendent works of Pandit Pran Nath or Eliane Radigue. Some Are (1), written by David Bowie and Brian Eno for the 1977 masterpiece album Low, didn't make it onto the album. Philip Glass reworked the song into this beautiful symphonic piece which appeared on his 1993 album The Low Symphony. Accompanying the piece is a brief pictorial of the U.S. and U.S.S.R.s cold war space race.

(http•••) ~ Staycation Review ~ Stay Period - October 2021 Room Type - Standard Room ~ Check-in Experience ~ We stayed at the Holiday Inn Frankfurt Alte Oper in October 2021. We arrived early at around 10am and were able to check-in. There was no queue or crowd in the lobby. ~ Room Experience ~ At 22 sqm, the room size is rather small but appears to be average for lead-in category rooms in Germany. The rooms have a simple but modern, pleasing design. Large windows afforded decent amounts of natural light. The hotel is rather low-rise and faces the main street so there isn't much of a view. The TV was also typically sized for hotels in Germany. The bathroom had a bathtub which was a plus but the shower was integrated with the bathtub and used a glass partition instead of a shower curtain which meant water often spilt onto the bathroom floor. Pros: - Relatively short distance (10 mins walk) from the Frankfurt main train station and other attractions. - Modern, clean furnishing. - Comes with bathtub. - Low price for brand-name hotel in Frankfurt. Cons: - Small 22 sqm room. - Small 32 inch TV. - Bathtub and shower are combined, which can be awkward. / 00:00 - Intro 00:20 - Standard Room 01:36 - Hotel restaurant 01:47 - Summary 01:57 - Closing / Audio: The Island - tubebackr For any business, press or industry related enquiries, please contact •••@•••
