Pianist Irma Vallecillo has appeared in concert with some of the most distinguished artists of our time, both vocal and instrumental, including Benny Goodman, Yo Yo Ma, Richard Stoltzman, David Shifrin, Julius Baker, the Cleveland Quartet, Laurence Lesser, Nathaniel Rosen, Walter Trampler, Miriam Fried, Marilyn Horne, Benita Valente, Paul Sperry, and Bethany Beardslee. She has performed extensively across the United States, throughout Europe, and in Asia at such venues and festivals as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Kennedy Center, Ravinia Festival, Pacific Music Festival, Hollywood Bowl, Casals Festival, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Schleswig-Holstein, Aspen Music Festival and Chamber Music Northwest. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Louisville Orchestra, Utah Symphony and Casals Festival Orchestra among others. Ms. Vallecillo’s extensive repertoire spans every style from baroque to contemporary, having premiered more than 50 vocal and chamber music works. For several years, Ms. Vallecillo served as artistic Director of the prestigious Gilmore Keyboard Festival and has been active as a member of the Gilmore selection committee. She was also Director of the Chamber Music and Piano programs at the Pacific Music Festival for nearly a decade, as well as part of the orchestra auditioning committee for the Festival. A dedicated educator, Ms. Vallecillo served as Chair of Collaborative Piano from 1993-2009 at the New England Conservatory, where she also held posts as Associate Provost, Chair of Chamber Music, Chair of the Doctorate of Musical Arts Committee and Director of the Artist Diploma program. She also served as Assistant Professor in Residence of Piano at the University of Connecticut from 2011 to 2016. B.S., The Juilliard School; M.M. University of Southern California. Studies with Adele Marcus, Angelica von Sauer, Joanna Graudan. Recordings on RCA, Louisville Orchestra, Moss Music, Delos, Desmar, Orion, Laurel, Avanti, Albany, Cambria.
