Best with headphones! We were investigating Bent's Opera House recently, and I heard a noise, so I tracked it down. It was at an entrance to a long hallway running alongside the length of the ballroom floor. So I stood at one end, and my fellow investigator, Joey, stood at the other, and started asking questions. We got this response.
The 4 of us from M.A.P.S. were all upstairs, in the opera hall. We were using a ghost box, basically a radio that scans through all stations rapidly. It has been said that ghosts can harness energy to form words using this device. Brian was saying he wanted to be in Scott's senior pictures and it seems a spirit wanted to answer him. What makes this even more amazing, is that the radio scans through stations more than double the speed of the EVP. Also, we cover it in foil to prevent the actual stations from coming through, so it's mostly white noise.
This was taken at the same hallway as the 1st EVP, a few minutes later. All investigators were accounted for, and none of them talked until a few seconds later. Even if they did talk, they were on the other side of the ballroom floor, and their voices echoed. This voice is more stuffy, and not out in the open. Thoughts on what it is saying?

Preservation League Names "Seven to Save" Releases List of Most Endangered Places in New York State The Preservation League of New York State has released its s list of the Empire State's most threatened historic resources, Seven to Save. The 2012-2013 Seven to Save list draws attention to the plight of New York's industrial heritage, the lack of master preservation planning documents, and the need to consider historic preservation in the face of development pressure. These seven valued historic resources are in danger of disappearing because of insufficient funding and financial incentives, insensitive public policies, general neglect, disinvestment, and in some cases, demolition. "Since 1999, Seven to Save has mobilized community leaders and decision-makers to take action when historic resources are threatened," said Jay DiLorenzo, President of the Preservation League. "A Seven to Save designation from the League delivers invaluable technical assistance, fosters increased media coverage and public awareness, and opens the door to grant assistance for endangered properties." Bent's Opera House, Medina, Orleans County: Bent's Opera House is an imposing three-story corner commercial building constructed of the famed red Medina sandstone. It is an anchor building in the Village of Medina's Main Street Historic District, designated at the local, state and national levels. It opened on February 28, 1865 with three store fronts on the first floor, mostly offices on the second level, and an ornate performance space on the third floor. The Orleans Renaissance Group Inc., an arts not-for-profit, is now the owner of this handsome but neglected resource. Since the performance space has not been used for decades, water damage, structural issues and deferred maintenance threaten this landmark. Built in 1864, Bent's Opera House was a bustling center for the arts through the early 20th century. The historic Medina Sandstone structure is located on the northwest corner of Main and West Center Streets in Medina, and was donated to the Orleans Renaissance Group, Inc. (ORG) by the Bank of America in 2009. The restoration of Bent's Opera House is the focus of their preservation efforts in Medina. Members of ORG have been busy formulating plans for the restoration and reuse of the building. Discussions have been underway to develop a phased restoration plan, including repairs to roof trusses, façade restoration, interior and exterior design renderings, and floor plans for envisioned reuse. "This is immensely significant, and elevates the importance of preserving Bent's Opera House across New York State and indeed, the nation," said Chris Busch, Vice President of ORG. "This is an historic occasion, and we are grateful for the recognition and support given by the Preservation League." The Orleans Renaissance Group, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization promoting the arts and preservation in Medina and Western New York. Their membership stretches across the Niagara Frontier and Genesee Valley. Additional information about the Orleans Renaissance Group and Bent's Opera House can be found at www.eggstreet.org.
