This Rondo was composed by Friedrich August Wilhelm Baumfelder +••.••(...)). Baumfelder was a German composer, conductor, and pianist. He studied at the Leipzig Conservatory, and become a well-known composer of his time. Many of his compositions are solo salon music, but also included symphonies, piano concertos, operas, and choral works. This Rondo was included in the "Excelsior Method for the Reed Organ" by T.H. Rollinson which was published by J.W. Pepper of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1882. Played on an Aeolian Grand Reed Organ built in 1895.
