The approach combines the best of both worlds: the orchestra is not tucked away in an orchestra pit, and with imaginative decoration and creative props, the story of the nobleman and ruthless woman seducer Don Juan comes to life. Comical and tragic at the same time, with sometimes genuine slapstick and show arias that demand the utmost from the singers. Don Giovanni, along with Così fan tutte and Le nozze di Figaro, are counted among Mozart's three greatest Italian operas.
