Ester Pavlů Gustav Mahler Symphony No. 2 "Urlicht" Pianist is Ladislava Vondráčková www.esterpavlu.cz Ester Pavlu is a young Czech mezzo-soprano, which can be included among distinctive personalities of the Czech opera scene. Among her greatest achievements to date we can include the third place in the International competition of Antonin Dvorak in Karlovy Vary and performing at the Prague State Opera in a production of the opera The Three Pintos in the role of Laura . In December 2013 she will perform as a soloist in a performance Le Mystère de Noël in Le Grand Théâtre du Puy du Fou in France under the direction of Jérôme Kuhn. Ester Pavlu graduated from the Prague Conservatory, where she studied under the direction of Ludek Löbl . She is now a fourth-year student at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of Helena Kaupova. She also attended singing classes of Peter Dvorsky, Dona D. Vaughn, Oliver Miljakovic, Dmitry Vdovin, Aprile Millo, Carol Isaac and Jane Thorner Mengedoht. She attends on a regular basis the master classes with the German conductor Richard Hein in Prague and the Italian conductor Enrico Dovica in Vienna. Since 2012 she has worked with the orchestra Virtuosi di Praga led by Oldrich Vlcek. She performed in many European countries - Italy, France , Germany, Russia and USA. She performed at the International Music Festival Kutna Hora with the opera house ochestra of J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen conducted by Frantisek Drs and at the International Music Festival of Jiri Lobkowicz with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jiri Strunc. Furthemore, she works with the conductors Milos Krejci , Jan Chalupecky , H. M. Förster and Walter Attanasi . Her profile roles include Eboli (Don Carlos), Rosina (The Barber of Seville), Laura (The Three Pintos), Elvira (Don Giovanni), Mercédès (Carmen), Second Lady (The Magic Flute), Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor), Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana) and Pauline (The Queen of Spades). She devotes herself also to a song production primarily by the authors Richard Wagner, Richard Strauss and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
