INTERVIEW with Miguel Yisrael, lutenist, about the lute in France in the 17th century
Interview with Miguel Yisrael lutenist, about his new cd: “The Kings of Versailles ». By dedicating his new album to the kings of the lute at Versailles, especially the composers and lutenists under Louis XIII and Louis XIV, Germain Pinel and Robert de Visée, Miguel Yisrael highlights the golden age of the lute in the 17th century in France: a solo instrument that embodies the taste, the education, the perfection of style and Manners, recognized and adopted by the sovereign, the Queens and their intimates. But Miguel Yisrael has done more than reveal the difficult art and virtuosic, poetic and contemplative side to this legendary instrument: the young lutenist, one of the best pupils of Hopkinson Smith, also through own project return to the lute the fame and fascination it exercised at the time of its glory… Yisrael is not only a subtle performer, he is now an ambitious entrepreneur […]

Daniil Trifonov, pianist
« The sculptures of Rodin made one of the strongest impressions on me » ResMusica: At only 22, you are celebrated by musical critics and influent artists such as Martha Argerich , recorded with Gergiev and the Mariinsky orchestra, signed with Decca and now Deutsche Gramophon, did you think this possible when you were 15? On the day of the performance, I spend time alone. RM: The time of competitions is now over for you. You study in Cleveland with Sergei Babayan […]
