With an original script by Adán Vásquez, “El Derecho de Vivir en Paz” follows a nameless poet in the midst of the tyrannical turmoil in Latin America during the 1960’s-80’s. The concert connects the poet’s challenging journey with the music of key folk and protest songs of Latino composers such as Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Pablo Milanés, Silvio Rodríguez, Luis Días among others. The concert is a homage to Latin American singer-songwriters from 1960-1980. Idea and Production: Adán Vásquez Co-Production: Rayner Trinidad & Christian Minaya Actor: José A. Its repertoire, ranges from traditional and contemporary classical composers from Europe, North America, and Latin America, to folkloric and popular music from the Latin American heritage.
