Her performances have been described by the Miami New Times as “endearing and powerful… brimming with confidence and joy” and “masterful… [with a] rich and warm sonority,” by the San Diego Story. Aubree made her solo debut with the Utah Symphony at age eleven and has since been devoted to pursuing a life in music. She has garnered several accolades, including her Carnegie Hall Weill Hall recital debut at age twelve as winner of the American Protégé International Strings Competition, several featured performances on NPR’s hit radio show From The Top, a 2016 National YoungArts Foundation Award, the prestigious Dorothy DeLay Fellowship and concerto performance at the Aspen Music Festival, and winner of the 2016 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, the highest honor the U.S. government can bestow on a high school student. Aubree’s recent engagements include debuts with the Pacific Symphony, the San Diego Symphony, and six performances of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with Carlos Miguel Prieto and Paolo Bortolameolli conducting the Orchestra of Americas on their tour of Mexico; performances with the Culver City, Topanga and San Fernando Valley Symphonies; recital appearances at the Grand Teton Music Festival and SOKA Performing Arts Center; and chamber music at Les Salon des Musiques in Los Angeles. She has also previously soloed with the American Youth Symphony, Aspen Philharmonic Orchestra, Beach Cities Symphony, Burbank Philharmonic, Colburn Orchestra, Colburn Baroque Ensemble, Millennial Choir and Orchestra, Salt Lake Pops Orchestra, Pasadena Orchestra, Utah Chamber Artists, and the Innsbrook Festival Orchestra. She has collaborated with artists such as Stefan Jackiw and Robert McDuffie in Harris Hall at the Aspen Music Festival and School, with Lynn Harrell, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Orli Shaham, Andrew Marriner, and Clive Greensmith as part of the Colburn Chamber Music Society in Los Angeles, and with Gil Shaham on tour in Mexico. In 2022 Aubree has joined Askonas Holt management. PALAZZO PATRIZI MONTORO is a historical residence from seventeenth century placed in the very heart of Rome, between Pantheon and Piazza Navona. It still belongs to Patrizi Montoro Family and houses an extensive art collection. Its opening performance is remembered as one of the most scandalous premieres in history, inciting a near-riot so loud that the dancers were unable to take their cues from the orchestra. Stravinsky’s ground-breaking approach to tonality, brutal rhythms, and treatment of barbaric themes had never before been witnessed by audiences. Today, The Rite of Spring is celebrated as one of the greatest and most influential works of the 20th century. I. Adoration of the Earth - Introduction - The Augurs of Spring: Dances of the Young Girls - Ritual of Abduction - Spring Rounds - Ritual of the Rival Tribes - Procession of the Sage - The Sage - Dance of the Earth II. The Sacrifice - Introduction - Mystic Circles of the Young Girls - Glorification of the Chosen One - Evocation of the Ancestors - Ritual Action of the Ancestors - Sacrificial Dance (The Chosen One) Ballet Synopsis: PART I: In a village in the hills, the ritual celebration of Spring begins. An old woman enters and foretells the future. Young girls arrive from the river in single file and begin the “Dance of the Abduction.” Next, the young girls dance the Khorovod, the “Spring Rounds.” The people divide into two opposing groups and begin the “Ritual of the Rival Tribes.” A holy procession of wise elders enters, headed by the Sage who brings the games to a pause and blesses the earth. The section draws to a close as people break into a passionate dance to sanctify the earth. PART II: The young girls engage in mysterious games, walking in circles. The moment arrives for choosing the sacrificial victim: One of the young girls is selected by fate to be the “Chosen One,” having fallen out of the circle twice. In a brief martial dance, the young girls invoke the ancestors. The Chosen One is entrusted to the care of the old wise men, and the ancestors rise from where the maidens stood. The Chosen One dances to death in the presence of the old men, in the great “Sacrificial Dance.” The elders hand over the sacrifice to the sun god Yarilo.
