Swiss Violin School Foundation awards Golden Bow to Sebastian Bohren For over 20 years, the Swiss Violin School Foundation has been awarding the prize "The Golden Bow" to artists who contribute to the enrichment of our cultural life. Traditionally, the award ceremony takes place during the opening of the Swiss Music-Festival Musikfestwoche Meiringen. On this occasion, Bohren played Mendelssohn's violin concerto and once again inspired the audience with his expressive passion, warm tone, and uncompromising virtuosity. With the award, Sebastian Bohren joins an illustrious line of artists who are already in possession of the prize in the form of a fine bow from the Finkel bow company. Among them Thomas Zehetmair, Tabea Zimmermann, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Kim Kashkashian, Isabelle van Keulen, to name just a few. Many of the prizes have found a home with award winners who in turn have played an important role in Sebastian Bohren's artistic life. Among them are the Swiss artists Hansheinz Schneeberger, Thomas Demenga or Thomas Füri. Thus the circle closes. If you have any questions, please contact Birgit Steinfels •••@•••, +••.••(...)
