For Reginald, diversity means casting the net around Black, Queer, Women, Latino and Hispanic artists. There are plenty of such composers in the historical record, including Vincente Lusitano (16th century), Ignatius Sancho and Chevalier de St Georges (18th century), Esteban Salas y Castro (in 18th century Cuba), African-American songwriter James Bland (19th century), Samuel Coleridge Taylor, and many more.
