Vanessa Benelli Mosell Plays Debussy
The third section of the Suite Bergamasque by Debussy is titled “Clair de lune” and it provides an elegant contrast to the suite’s sprightly second and fourth movements. One of Debussy’s early compositions, it is the most readily recognizable segment of his works. The title of the movement refers to a folk song that was the conventional accompaniment of scenes of the love-sick Pierrot in the French pantomime. A regular feature of London concert life: Fidelo Cafe announces its September/October programme
[…] music experiences are proving successful.Now, the venue has announced its September and October concerts, each combining music from major artists with dinner in a relaxed way. Angela Hewitt opens things on 1 September with a programme of Bach and Mozart, then on 7 September the cafe's founder, pianist Rafaello Morales is joined by clarinettist Anthony Friend from Brahms' two late clarinet sonatas. Vanessa Benelli Mosell began her comprehensive musical studies at the age of three. At seven years old she was admitted at the International Piano Academy in Imola, giving her orchestral debut as soloist at the age of nine followed by her New York appearance at eleven years old with pianist Pascal Rogé, who described her as “the most natural musical talent I have encountered in my entire life”. In 2007 she entered the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Mikhail Voskresensky, before pursuing her studies with Dmitri Alexeev at the Royal College of Music in London, where she graduated in 2012.
