Each brought their specific vocal traits and acting requirements to the medieval Minnesinger, with the bulkily built McCracken and Cassilly looking and sounding like mirror images of each other. The legendary Canadian heldentenor died on Friday. He was 88. Our own Jungfer Marianne Leitmetzerin has posted the following tribute.
