The idea was to combine the excitement and vivacity of live performance but with the control which comes from editing, along with the superb sound which comes from the Abbey Road Studio.The sound engineer was Sam O'Kell and the producer was Andrew Simmonds. Help! Russia won’t let us leave with our instruments
Four musicians flew into Moscow in transit to the St Petersburg Early Music Festival. They neglected to declare their instruments in Moscow. On arrival in St Petersburg, they were told it was too late. Now they want to leave but the Russians say they cannot take the instruments. The four have documents of ownership but they are not in Russian and customs officials will not accept foreign languages. Customs in st pt’burg said they would send all documents back to Moscow to get stamped… but Moscow refused The four musicians are a Hungarian Ágnes Kertész and three Italians: Olivia Centurioni (pictured), Giovanni Barbati and Pasquale Lepore. They are desperate for advice and help.
