Vandoren Chamber Music Night
[…] the Ritz Chamber Players, the audience eased into their seats to enjoy a performance from a clarinetist who never disappoints. Pedro Rubio, David Gould and Philippe Cuper presented a recital filled with thrilling repertoire. Starting with a performance of three lesser-known Spanish composers, Pedro Rubio of the Conservatory of Spain began the recital with beauty and charm. David Gould’s performance offered a lovely contrast to Rubio’s presentation by performing French composer Marc Delmas’ Fantaisie Italienne and the beloved Romantic composer, Robert Schumann. Closing the program was Philippe Cuper’s performance of the Jeanjean’s Duo de Concert. –Notes By Dr. Victor Chavez, Jr. Dr. Victor Chavez, Jr. teaches at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville as Lecturer in Clarinet and currently performs with the Tri-Cities Opera Company in Binghamton, New York. 30.413258 -91.180002
