Celebrating 20 years of the Royal Opera House's Jette Parker Young Artists Programme
The Royal Opera's Jette Parker Young Artists Programme is celebrating its 20th anniversary, having trained and supported 137 young singers, directors, conductors and pianists. For 2021/22, soprano April Koyejo-Audiger, tenors Thando Mjandana, Alan Pingarrón and baritone Chuma Sijeqa will join the Young Artists and along with soprano Alexandra Lowe, mezzo-sopranos Kseniia Nikolaieva and Stephanie Wake-Edwards, tenors Andrés Presno and Egor Zhuravskii, bass Blaise Malaba, stage director Isabelle Kettle, opera répétiteur Michael Sikich, opera conductor and répétiteur Michael Papadopoulos and ballet conductor Edo Frenkel, will form the 20th anniversary Young Artists company. In October 2022, the Meet the Young Artists week returns with a chance to hear current and former young artists in concert as well as a celebratory alumni recital curated by the programme's founder and artistic director David Garland.
