The sixth annual ACT/DALRO/Nedbank Scholarships were awarded last night to three young people as follows: Mbasa Soga received R60 000 Usisipho Nteyi received R105 000 Katlego Nche received R150 000 From left to right – Mbasa Soga, Usisipho Nteyi, Katlego Nche The condition is that they study performing art at an institution accredited to provide them with a degree in the subject. Phindile Dube, Mphumzi Nontshinga and Anja Taljaard each received R5 000 from Nedbank. The Super Six below (together with two winners from last year) won through from more than seven hundred applications. The Super Six who made it through to the finals. The Performing Arts Scholarships Programme was launched in 2009 in partnership with DALRO and in 2010 Nedbank came on board. As at last night R1 200 000 has been distributed to the winners.
