Chang performed with duo partner and cellist Diana Golden at Montreal’s Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec, hosted by the Société de recherche et de diffusion de la musique Haïtienne. As a collaborative pianist, Chang has worked for opera companies such as The Bronx Opera, the Garden State Opera, and OperaRox. Chang holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Peabody Institute in Baltimore where he studied with Benjamin Pasternack and he is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Lydia Brown. Kirsten Chambers will make her Met debut in the title role of this evening's performance of Strauss's Salome, replacing Patricia Racette, who is ill. Ms. Chambers, an American soprano, has recently sung the Foreign Princess in DvoA A¡k's Rusalka at Lyric Opera of Kansas; Leonore in Beethoven's Fidelio with New Amsterdam Opera; Nedda in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci with Bronx Opera; and Elsa in Wagner's Lohengrin with OpA©ra de Rennes, the Hong Kong Arts Festival, and the Savonlinna Opera Festival.
