The Philadelphia Orchestra responds to Rachmaninoff's lapidary and majestic playing with a soaring, voluptuous and mysterious sound. The ghostly slow movement is an example of the perfect osmosis between conductor and pianist. These documents are indispensable and it is not acceptable to love Rachmaninoff's concertos without having heard them by their author. Composer: Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff (Серге́й Васи́льевич Рахма́нинов) Pianist: Leonardo Colafelice Conductor: Giordano Bellincampi Concertmaster: Adam Grüchot Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18 Концерт для фортепиано с оркестром № 2 Klavierkonzert Nr. 2 in c-Moll 00:00 I. Moderato 11:54 II. Adagio sostenuto 24:27 III. @leonardo_colafelice ♬ Instagram: (http•••) ♬ Facebook: (http•••) ♬ YouTube: (http•••) #Rach #Rach2 #Rachmaninoff #Rachmaninov #leonardocolafelice #Colafelice #Concerto #PianoConcerto #SymphonyOrchestra #symphony #Piano #KSO #kristiansandsymphonyorchestra #1900 Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra @kildenkrs Facebook: (http•••) Instagram: (http•••) Spotify: (http•••)

I also should note that this is my favorite version of this Piano Concerto, as the intro is slightly "better paced" then other versions, where I believe it to be played too quickly, not savoring the notes enough. Sergey Vasil’yevich Rachmaninov PLAYLIST (reference recordings) (http•••)
